REVISED SYLLABUS FOR LGO’s FOR PROMOTION TO POSTAL/ SORTING ASSISTANTS

Paper I General English/Hindi and Grammar, Arithmetic and Tabulation.

Paper II  For Postal Assistants:
                Part A: Knowledge of Postal/Mail Office operations with reference to Post office guides.
                For Sorting Assistants
                Part B:  Postal Manual Volume VII
Marks:   Each Paper carries 100 marks

Duration:  Each paper will be for one hour

Type of questions: 50 multiple choice questions in each paper Paper I to be of 10th Standard

Qualifying marks: 40% in each paper for General Category
                                33% in each paper for SC/ST and 37% for OBC candidates
